About Us

Chatterbox Magazine had humble beginnings, initially written in between school runs and printed in a garage, but, over the years, it developed into an incredible community magazine with a huge legion of regular readers, and outlets all across the city handing out free copies. In October 2025 we celebrated our 28th anniversary.

Chatterbox Magazine was an idea editor/owner Christine had, after working in advertising

for many years and then taking a creative writing course from home when her son was a

baby. She thought 'why not put the two together and see what happens' and so

Chatterbox Magazine began!

The magazine was always a blend of useful local adverts and a very large quantity of highly

interesting editorial which included... health information, fascinating facts, short

biographies, articles on how things began, hilarious jokes, inspirational stories,

competitions to win cash, poetry from exceptional local poets and quizzes to test all of the

family, plus details of clubs and organisations.

In 2026, due to a variety of factors, Christine took the difficult decision to finish the printed

version of the magazine. However all is not lost! Every two months, we continue to publish

some of our best material from the last 28 years right here on our website

- so, why not take a look?!

If you missed any previous editions, we can also send out back copies (subject to availability and postage & packaging) PLUS: we remain dedicated to supporting local businesses and groups - advertise on the ‘Chatterbox Trusted Traders’ section of our website for a competitive price and continue to promote your business to our loyal readership

"I hope you will continue to enjoy the magazine and we will always be doing our best to find new and interesting material for you all as long as possible. Thank you for all of your support over the years!"  -  Christine Jones, Editor/Owner
